I Will Donate $20,000.00 to the Democratic Party
If they get every candidate to stop sending me fundraising texts & emails
I am so fucking sick of those fundraising texts and emails. So here’s the offer. If I get zero fundraising texts & emails for the rest of this year, I will donate $20,000.00 to the ASDC
(or to whatever candidates/PACs they direct me to).
This starts Wednesday 1 February to give them time to get the word out. And the restriction is the automated asks. An individual ask is ok (I actually enjoy talking to some of the people who hit me up for donations - they share some very interesting observations of our politics).
To the campaigns, there’s no downside to taking me off your lists. I have never ever made a donation in response to an automated ask. And I mark your requests as junk which increases the odds of them going into other’s junk folders.
So ASDC - your move. 20K on 1 January 2024
Why 20K? Because there is a 0.5% chance the ASDC pulls this off. And that’s the most I’m willing to have go to spending I don’t select. In other words, this is a legit offer.
Oh, and if I do get an ask that kills this, I’ll post it to my blog. The donation request that cost the Democratic Party a 20K donation.
And it took about a week and got another (and another and another…)
