For the Upcoming German Election

Pretty much the only issue is electricity and gas

There’s a election campaign in process in Germany. I was talking to a friend of mine that has lived there for decades. And as to the issues in the campaign… Is it Inflation? No. Is it Immigration? No. Is it the war in Ukraine? A little bit.

It’s almost entirely around power. Both reliability and cost. Germany is so dependent on Wind power that when the wind dies electricity becomes unreliable and sees a 50 - 100 fold increase. What voters want for electricity and gas is reliability and low costs. What they’re getting is unreliable expensive power.

It impacts the ruling power the hardest because they’re the morons that shut down perfectly good nuclear plants to satisfy the crazies in the Green Party that is one of their coalition partners.

California MISO, and New England are on the edge of making the same mistake. On the alter of virtue signaling they are making their electricity more expensive and less reliable. California has the highest electricity prices in the lower 48.

And Colorado is charging ahead to join in this self imposed cluster fuck. As I’m guessing are several other states. All blue states.

We (the Democrats) have screwed the voters over on housing. Now we’re in the process of doing the same for power. This is insanely self destructive for the Democratic Party. And totally unnecessary.
